Vila Nova de Cerveira ((:ˈvilɐ ˈnɔvɐ ðɨ sɨɾˈvɐjɾɐ), locally: (:ˈbilɐ ˈnɔβɐ ðɨ sɨɾˈβɐjɾɐ)) is a municipality in the district of Viana do Castelo in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 9,253,〔(Instituto Nacional de Estatística )〕 in an area of 108.47 km².〔(Direção-Geral do Território )〕 The present Mayor is Fernando Nogueira, elected by the PenCe (independent movement).
